Eastern Kentucky University’s (EKU) OSHA Training Institute Education Center (OTIEC) has been providing free safety and health training at Safety Fest TN for years! They, along with all the organizations volunteering instructors, make the event possible! Safety Fest TN is a week of FREE training to promote safety and health at work, at home and in the community! EKU and OTIEC

Established in 2003, Eastern Kentucky University’s OSHA Training Institute Education Center (OTIEC) serves the eight-state Region IV and offers a variety of safety and health training. EKU draws upon the expertise of internationally-recognized safety and health professionals to develop and provide quality training.

“The OTIEC is dedicated to promoting a safe and healthy work environment, reducing the number of workplace accidents and fatalities. With unique training facilities and state-of-the-art equipment, we are able to provide hands-on learning, further enriching participants’ knowledge and understanding. Safety Fest TN

Safety Fest TN will be held September 12 – 16 at multiple locations in Oak Ridge and Knoxville, TN. Class schedule and registration have launched! The event, which started in 2012, provides free training to promote safety and health at work, at home and in the community. And what a community it is! Last year’s event had over 850 people registered from 79 cities in 6 states, representing 172 organizations. It included 66 free safety classes, sessions and demonstrations. The 51 Instructors were graciously provided by organizations giving back to the community. This year’s event is going to be bigger and better. Your organization can partner, sponsor or provide resources to promote safety and health too!
