UT provides free safety classes at Safety Fest TN!

The University of Tennessee Knoxville will be providing free safety classes again this year at Safety Fest TN. UT is joining a list of more than 50 organizations that volunteer instructors for the event. Safety Fest TN is a week of free classes, sessions and demonstrations to promote safety and health at work, at home and in the community. See the bottom of this post for more Safety Fest TN info.

Thank you UT!

“Founded in 1794, UT is big on tradition, and we are proud of our humble beginnings as the first public university chartered west of the Appalachian Divide. We serve the state by educating its citizens, enhancing its culture, and making a difference in people’s lives through research and service. By attracting the best and brightest students and leading faculty, we are on track to join our peers in the nation’s Top 25 public research institutions. An aggressive roadmap guides our journey. We are improving undergraduate and graduate education, research, support for faculty and staff, our campus infrastructure, and our resources.”

Safety Fest TN

Safety Fest TN will be held September 12 – 16 at multiple locations in Oak Ridge and Knoxville, TN. Class schedule and registration launch is planned for early July, 2016. The event, which started in 2012, provides free training to promote safety and health at work, at home and in the community. And what a community it is! Last year’s event had over 850 people registered from 79 cities in 6 states, representing 172 organizations. It included 66 free safety classes, seminars and demonstrations. The 51 Instructors were graciously provided by organizations giving back to the community. This year’s event is going to be bigger and better. Your organization can partner, sponsor or provide resources to promote safety and health too!

Limited exhibition spaces at the Safety Expo and sponsorship opportunities are available now!
