While a wide variety of topics will be considered, infomercial-type classes that promote a specific product or service are discouraged. Topics pertaining to OSHA’s most cited violations such as fall protection, hazard communications, scaffolding, respiratory protection, control of hazardous energy, ladders, machine guarding, and personal protective equipment are desirable. First aid/CPR/AED, safety leadership, cyber security, warehousing, hearing conservation, new technologies, high-reliability organizations, accident/incident investigations, aging workforce, slips, trips and falls, recordkeeping, emergency response, human performance improvements, excavation and electrical safety classes are always in high demand. OSHA 10- and 30-hour construction and general industry classes are also popular attendee choices.
When developing abstracts, remember that the class title often makes a lasting impression on prospective attendees. Clear and concise class descriptions aid with selection and scheduling.
The call for instructors will close on February 1, 2019.
Please forward this email to others that might be interested in providing classroom instruction or safety-related demonstrations.
