In memory of our valued colleagues whose contributions to Safety Fest TN; the environment, safety, and health field; and our community will never be forgotten. We miss you!

Mike Crenshaw
Senior Scientist
Mike Crenshaw’s influence in industry was both profound and far-reaching, having served as a Safety Fest TN Instructor for many years. As a UTK alumnus and Hazardous Energy Control Program Manager with UCOR, he combined scientific rigor with a deep sense of responsibility, improving safety standards and mentoring others with his wealth of knowledge. Whether serving as a Safety Officer for the American Bladesmith Society Youth Hammer-Ins or moderating discussions on The High Road forums, Mike’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and education helped shape the future of his field. His expertise in firearms and blade history, paired with a collaborative spirit, left a lasting mark on colleagues, craftsmen, and professionals nationwide. Mike will be deeply missed, not only for his technical mastery, but for his willingness to share, to teach, and to elevate everyone around him. His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege to work with him.
