Throwback Thursday: Gary Roberts, Educator Honoree and Instructor at Safety Fest TN 2026!
Some leaders teach safety. Some live it. Gary Roberts does both.
With over 38 years of experience in environmental health and safety across general industry, construction, and the public sector, Gary has built a career grounded in experience, service, and impact.
From serving as Vice President of the American Society of Safety Engineers – now American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) – to contributing to the PHCC National Safety Committee, Gary has consistently elevated the safety profession. He’s also a familiar face at the Tennessee Safety Congress, where he presents on consequence-based / behavioral safety and emergency management.
His academic foundation includes a bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA from Eastern Kentucky University, where he also represents the OSHA Training Institute Education Center, equipping leaders with practical, standards-based safety education connected to Occupational Safety and Health Administration training excellence.
