Community Safety Forum on Wednesday, December 3rd!

The Oak Ridge Business Safety Partnership will host a community safety forum on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, 8:00 – 10:00 a.m., at the American Museum of Science and Energy on Tulane Avenue in Oak Ridge.

The topic of the forum is The ORNL Excess Property Sales Event: How Complacency had a near Fatal Impact on a Fellow Employee. The presenter is Mr. Jimmy Stone, Director, Facilities and Operations, Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Ms. Fran Williams, Manager, ESH&QA, UCOR, will make a presentation on steps UCOR has taken, in light of the accident, to prevent a similar occurrence on a UCOR project.

The meeting is free and open to the public. Networking at AMSE starts at 8:00 a.m. Coffee and bagels will be served. The program will start at 8:30 and will end promptly at 10:00.
